Cleanliness

This issue's Tip of the Month is about how to keep your hooks and needles clean. After using your knitting needles or crochet hooks for some time, you might feel that they are not as smooth as they used to be. It is the sign that they need cleaning. Wash them in mild soapy water and dry them out. You will find them smoother.

For Embroidery and tapestry needles, washing might not be practical. If you have one of those tomato pincushions, pass your needles through that small strawberry dangling from the cushion. It is not just for decoration, it is a needle cleaner.
