If you are a faculty member and would like to view your class's information,

But, if you would like to become a teacher at Needlecraft University, please continue ...
Why teach online?
Have you ever traveled around the country to teach, especially with all the security checks
these days?
It is quite a hassle. Why not teach online in the comfort of your own home;
no travel expense, no carrying teaching materials, no times away from friends and family.
No need to prepare the class materials and handouts, every time you set up your class.
Once you submit your class material, we convert it to the online format for you.
It will be there for future class sessions.
Should you choose, you can enrich your class content by linking some of your class materials
to other sources you might have on the web.
Unlike the traditional classrooms in which you are expected to answer questions almost immediately,
with teaching online, you will have the time to study the questions and prepare the most
appropriate answers. There is no need for a quick and maybe not so accurate responses.
Unlike the traditional seminars in which you are expected to complete your class in one session,
here you define the length and number of lessons in your class.
In a traditional classroom, your time with students is limited to a few hours,
so what they can do typically is not more than swatches.
With online teaching, you have much more time, a few weeks.
You can design your class to do an actual project. This is definitely more appealing
to students than just making swatches.
Expand your reach and teach worldwide. There are many students that are very eager to learn
your craft, but do not have the opportunity to meet you. Teaching online gives them a chance
to get to know you and your craft.
We provide password-protected classrooms, so only registered students may attend.
In addition to your teaching materials, there is a Discussion Board in each classroom,
so you and your students can communicate by posting questions and answers regarding the
class content.
We also provide our teachers with their own private, password-protected
e-Office.
When in the e-Office, teachers have access to all their Student Lists, current course materials,
even previously held classes.
From e-Office they can also enter into the Faculty Meeting Room where they can
access all teacher related information such as class guidelines and templates,
learn about the latest faculty related events, and participate in
Teachers Discussion Forum, where they can exchange ideas with their peers.
As a Faculty Member, you can view/participate in the Teachers Discussion Forum.
The teachers Discussion Forum is a place for teachers to discuss their thoughts and
problems, exchange ideas and learn from each other.
Overall, help to make Needlecraft University a better learning environment.
Teachers pay a percentage of their tuition fee to NeedlecraftUniversity.com.
The staff will put your lessons into proper Web format and handle all technical issues.
There is also a small annual fee to become a faculty member and remain as such.
This fee is to cover the charges of maintaining the teacher's profile, class contents, and
e-Office content/password.
Class content and length will be up to the teacher. However, class content must be original.
In other words, if you are teaching from a book, you must be the author.
If you are teaching a design, you should be the designer.
If you are interested in teaching at Needlecraft University, please check the
Basics of Teaching Online section which contains information about how to apply.
