Welcome to Needlecraft University on the web. A site created by Needlecraft Professionals with many years of experience for those who love to learn in a classroom setting. We used to offer fee based courses in Knitting, Crochet, and Silk Ribbon Embroidery by well known teachers and designers. However, currently we do not offer those classes, but feel free to try one of our Free Classes. We are confident that you will enjoy it. Due to popular demand, we have created an Archive for our eNewsletters. You can access all articles that we have published since January 2003.

Besides being a rich online learning facility, Needlecraft University is also a community for all Needlecraft professionals and enthusiasts to communicate and help each other. To facilitate this communication, we have setup a publicly accessible Bulletin Board. We encourage you to visit and participate in this Bulletin/Discussion Board. Post your questions, and as you visit, respond to those you know the answer.

Testimonials
I never would have learned so much from my classmates in a conventional class. I am so grateful to all of the expert knitters and struggling beginners for sharing, helping and commiserating.
Candyce, knitter, first time NU student from Covington, Louisiana.
In response to our question on how can we improve our classes, Carol, an experienced knitter from Atlanta, Michigan had the following:
"I think, aside from coming to my home and helping me, you could not improve on this class! I really enjoyed it and appreciate being able to ask questions."
The class was perfect. I tend to be a hands on person and was afraid that taking a class online wouldn't work for me. When I first read the directions, I wasn't sure I understood, but decided just to follow them. Once I was actually sitting there with the needles and yarn in hand—everything worked perfectly!
Gail, an experienced knitter from Stoneham, Massachusetts.
I was impressed with the overall look of the site. It is easy to navigate. There's a lot of information for beginners and those who crochet/knit at other levels. The libraries are the best I've seen. Everything is right there for reference.
Glenda, a crocheter of 28 years from Douglas, Georgia.
I have been looking for just such a web site. I found your visual aids and printed instructions very clear and compatible (pictures and instructions were together). I have crocheted for many years and this is one of the best formats I have ever seen.
Carol, an experienced crocheter from Newbury, Ohio.
Just a note to thank you for making this accessible and quite friendly to a blind crafter. I am a knitter but would like to learn to crochet. Your directions in the crochet library were very helpful and clear. I started to learn to crochet some time ago and these directions reminded me clearly of what I had learned. (Knitting library directions were clear, too.) Thanks for explaining succinctly and not referring to diagrams to the exclusion of other information.
Chris, a visually impaired crafter from Portland, Oregon.
After many years of trying different methods of casting on, this has been my first success! I am an expert and prize-winning crocheter, but all of the basic instructions given in countless knitting books purchased over the years have been too difficult for me to follow. Perhaps now, I can be more than a knitter want-to-be! Thank you!!!
Marilyn, an experienced crocheter from Saint Cloud, Florida.
